Range
The International J/24 was the first production boat designed by Rod Johnstone from J/Boats, with the first boat being launched in 1977. There are now over 6,000 racing one-design throughout the world.
The J/Boat range predominantly have retractable carbon bow sprits to efficiently fly asymmetric spinnakers. J/Boats pioneered this asymmetric sailing system which not only enhances performance but also provides ease of handling.
The model numbers are based on the metric length. (ie J/80 is 8.0m and J/122 is 12.2m.) The range includes: the J/70, J/80, J/92 S, J/95, J/97, J/105, J/108, J/109, J/111, J/122 and the J/133.
Launched in 2011, interest worldwide for the J/111 speedster is strong, with dozens of new owners revelling in their first sailing experience. J/111's are already sailing in at least ten countries on five continents- a remarkably strong debut for the next generation international one-design off the J drawing boards and the first J to go global in less than twelve months!
The J/70 Speedster (22.75 feet) is J/Boats' first ramp-launchable keelboat - designed to fulfill the growing need for an easy-to-own, high performance one-design that is exciting to sail, stable enough sailboat for the family, and built to last. With fleet discussions underway around the world, J/70 is on-track to take the world by storm in 2012.
The J/95 and J/108 both have lifting keels to enable you to cruise and explore the many shallow waterways around the country. The J/100 is an elegant day-sailor perfect for weekending with speed and style. |
